Speech Pathology & Occupational Therapy for Brighton Families

SPOT Paediatrics supports children from Brighton with speech pathology and occupational therapy at our clinic on Brighton Road, Hove, just a few minutes up the road. Speech pathology appointments are currently available.

Families can access both services in one place, with fees explained from the first call and a neuro-affirming approach built around each child’s strengths and interests. We can also visit nearby childcare centres, preschools and schools using a collaborative approach to supporting your child and to work closely with educators and teachers.

Speech pathology and occupational therapy for children from Brighton

For many Brighton families, the question first comes up at a playgroup, kindy pick-up or after a chat with a teacher: is this something to look into?

Our speech pathologists support speech sounds, language, literacy, social communication, mealtimes and AAC (augmentative and alternative communication). Our occupational therapists support fine and gross motor skills, sensory processing, regulation and interoception, organisation and self-care. Enquire today.

Our clinic sits on Brighton Road itself, so for many Brighton families it is closer than the school run. We support babies and toddlers who are starting to explore words and movement, preschoolers getting ready for school, navigating peer connections and learning self-care skills, and school-age children working on literacy, daily living skills, friendships or classroom demands.

A child doing things differently is not automatically a sign that something is wrong. Sometimes a conversation with one of our clinicians is enough to work out whether there is anything to explore further.

You may also see our team around Brighton. We are taking part in Sensory Stay & Play at Brighton Library, a free community event for toddlers and their grown-ups.

Why families from Brighton choose SPOT

We explain fees on your first phone call, including how NDIS, Medicare and private health options may apply to your child. Parents and carers are encouraged to join sessions, and we highly value phone calls with your clinician to touch base away from your child’s earshot.

We get to know your child through their interests, at their own pace.
